Dallas Public Library

The local branch of the Dallas Public Library is located just down the road from us and is a common site for civic events. They also have some rooms available for rental, so if we're not able to provide you with a reservation, you can consider trying them.

Friends of Oak Cliff Parks

Friends of Oak Cliff Parks is a non-profit organization dedicated to resotring the beauty of the parks throughout the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. Volunteers and donations are always welcome.

Councilman Dave Neumann

Dallas City Councilman Neumann is a proud supporter of Park in the Woods, as the council meetings he has held here attest. Due to his efforts, our patrons now enjoy extended hours on Saturdays, and his contributions continue to improve the quality of service Dallas Parks and Recreation offers.

Dallas Audubon Society

The Dallas Audubon Soceity is one of the premier conservation groups in the city, and their efforts help protect the beauty of nature around our city. Their main project, the Cedar Ridge Preserve, is located right next door to Park in the Woods, and is famous for its butterfly gardens and miles of hiking trails. (closed on Mondays)

Cedar Hill State Park

Looking for outdoor recreation right near your home? Cedar Hill State Park is located only a few miles from Park in the Woods, and the opportunities for fun and exercise are nearly endless. There are plenty of trails available for hiking and mountain biking, and Joe Pool Lake has plenty of swimming and boating areas for those interested in water sports. (By the way, if you go for an early morning boat ride, you just may spot Mr. Miller kayaking.)

What is geocaching? Well, you'll have to click the link above to find out. Suffice it to say, Park in the Woods gets to play a small part in this great hobby. Registered geocachers can look here to find Park in the Woods' cache.
