Park in the Woods Recreation Center: "A Premier City of Dallas Facility"

Park in the Woods Recreation Center is a Dallas Park and Recreation Department facility serving the Woods-Sugarberry area of Dallas. With an official-size gym, outdoor volleyball court, computer lab, fitness room, rooms for reservation, and a variety of community-enriching classes, Park in the Woods has something for everyone.

Mother & Son Ball

In honor of Mother's Day, Park in the Woods is hosting A Night of Stars, a red-carpet mother and son dance. In addition to the hors d'voeures, dancing, and fond memories, we'll also ensure you get a free souvenir and a 5x7 photograph of you two at this special event.

Steve Nice Academy

Do you want to perform in front of a crowd? Have your music heard on the radio? Or have people dancing to your music at a club or party? Come learn how to take your music talent to the next level. No matter if you are a beginner, intermediate, or even a professional, this academy has something for you. Classes offered each month.

Get a head start on your New Years resolutions by getting fit at Park in the Woods. We offer fitness solutions for both adults and seniors, so find the program that's right for you today.

Fitness Room

  • Description: Park in the Woods' fitness room is geared towards aerobic fitness, and includes treadmills, excercise bikes, elliptical machines, a multigym weight machine, and a selection of dumbells.
  • Time: The fitness room is open at all times during center hours.
  • Cost: $10 per month ($7.50 per month for seniors)

Aerobics

  • Description: Step your way to a healthier body.
  • Instructor: Elena Arrey
  • Time: Tues. and Thurs. 7:30pm - 8:30pm
  • Cost: $5.00 per week
  • Ages: 18+

Fitness Training
